It’s the greatest job I’ve ever had, and that’s saying a lot,” declares Arnold Randall ’90 LAS to the packed luncheon crowd in the Loop banquet room at Maggiano’s restaurant. He’s dressed for the occasion—suit and tie, buffed black shoes. This is, after all, the City Club of Chicago, the power elite of politicos and corporate big wigs. A few days later, he repeats that phrase—“Greatest job I’ve ever had!”—only this time he’s at a nature center in the Thatcher Woods Forest Preserve dressed in jeans, sneakers and green work shirt, his audience a caged beady-eyed owl, a snoozing red fox and a pacing coyote.
