Cook County Military and Veterans Resource Fairs
Cook County Department of Veterans Affairs (CCVA) hosts its annual Military and Veterans Resource Fair at Brookfield Zoo Chicago. This event brings military, veteran and community organizations together under one roof to connect the military community with the services and benefits they have earned.
The resource fair is free and open to veterans, current service members, military families, caregivers and survivors. Attendees can connect with local, state, federal and nonprofit organizations offering assistance with health care, employment, benefits and much more.

The 2026 Military and Veterans Resource Fair was held on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2026, at Brookfield Zoo Chicago’s Discovery Center.
More than 500 attendees had access to organizations offering information and assistance related to:
- VA benefits and disability claims
- Health care and mental health services
- Employment, education and career development
- Housing and financial assistance
- Legal services and family support
- Wellness and other community resources
The fair provided an opportunity for attendees to connect directly with service providers, learn about available programs and identify resources to support themselves and their families.
Thank you to the participating agencies, community partners and organizations whose collaboration helps strengthen the network of support available to Cook County’s military community.
