Did you make energy efficiency improvements to your home in 2016? You may be eligible for a federal tax credit that expired on December 31, 2016. Eligible improvements include building envelope improvements, such as upgraded building insulation; exterior doors;  windows or roofs, as well as new high-efficiency heating, cooling and water-heating equipment installations.

Did you add any renewable energy to you home? There are also tax credits available for those technologies.

Learn more at energy.gov/energysaver about specific products and technologies that have available tax credits and the eligibility details.
