Grant Applicants (CDBG & ESG)


Each year, the Bureau of Economic Development (BED) partners with the Department of Planning and Development (DPD) to solicit grant applications for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG) funding through a competitive process.         

Program Year 2022

The CDBG Public Service / Planning application and ESG applications closed on Friday, April 15.

The 2022 CDBG application for Capital Improvement, Demolition and Economic Development closed Wednesday, March 16.

Similar to last year, application submissions will be handled via an online submission process. The link to the CDBG Public Service/Planning and ESG grant submission pages are below.

CDBG Public Service/Planning and ESG applications closed on April 15, 2022.

CDBG Capital Improvement applications closed on March 16, 2022. 

Important notice for this year’s CDBG application cycle: Non-profits may apply for one CDBG Capital Improvement project and one CDBG Public Service / Planning project. Otherwise, there is a limit of one funding application per agency.

CDBG Public Service/Planning and ESG Application Webinar

A virtual Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) application webinar/workshop for potential applicants took place on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at 9:30am.

The workshop focused on funding for community public services and planning work.
