Each year, the Bureau of Economic Development (BED) partners with the Department of Planning and Development (DPD) to solicit grant applications for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG) funding through a competitive process.

Program Year 2019

The Program Year 2019 applications and related materials are now available below. Applications are due by 4:00pm on Friday, March 29, 2019.

The 2019 application workshops were held, as follows:

  • CDBG Public Service / Planning and ESG workshop on Tuesday, February 26th, from 9:30am - 11:30am
  • CDBG Capital Improvement, Demolition and Economic Development workshop on Wednesday, February 27th, from 1:00pm - 3:00pm

Program Year 2019 Application Materials 

The applications below are fillable Adobe forms, so check and make sure you have the latest version of the free Adobe reader on your computer. Please download each application to your computer, fill them out, and save your work.  Please do not fill these out in your browser.  

Please submit your application and attachments by email to Sonia Brown at sonia.brown@cookcountyil.gov. If your attachments are larger than 5MB, please use a file sharing service (for example, Dropbox) to make sure we receive your email submission. You will receive an email confirmation from Sonia letting you know your submission has been received.
