Cook County Chief Information Officer Simona Rollinson today was named Nonprofit/Government Chief Information Officer of the Year at the annual ORBIE Awards held in partnership with the CIO Leadership Association. Cook County Named Top 10 Digital County

For two years in a row, the Center for Digital Government named Cook County one of America's Top 10 Digital Counties with a population over 500,000. The award identifies the best technology practices among U.S. counties, including initiatives that streamline delivery of government services, encourage collaboration and shared services, enhance cybersecurity and even reduce carbon emissions. County GIS Receives Esri's Special Achievement Award

Cook County's Department of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) was honored by Esri this week with a Special Achievement in GIS Award for establishing an enterprise approach to GIS which provides a framework for County departments to collect data, share information, collaborate, and conduct cross-departmental analysis.
