County Solutions Forum: Community Restoration
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
I am inviting you to attend our first County Solutions Forum entitled Community Restoration: Defining and Developing Healthy Communities. Attached is a flyer with the pertinent information that I encourage you to circulate to organizations and individuals that would be interested in attending and contributing their insight.
Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle is mounting a response to the tragic level of gun violence our county is experiencing. The County Solutions Forum is a series of public meetings looking at how public private partnerships help restore communities, thereby reducing individual and community violence. Our first Forum, hosted and moderated by the Chicago Urban League, brings together a panel of community organizations working in this area, including IMAN, Vision of Restoration, Teamwork Englewood and others, to discuss the need for and impact of Community Restoration in addressing gun violence.
The Community Solutions Forum will take place at the Chicago Urban League 4510 S. Michigan Avenue on March 23rd from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. At the end of the panel discussion, there will be an opportunity for audience members to ask questions and provide insight on the issues raised in the Forum.
Seating is limited and to ensure a seat, we ask that you please RSVP via Eventbrite here by March 22nd.
