How to Apply
- Please review the CDBG grants page and 2021 CDBG Application Guide to read all information about the program and download any necessary files for the application submission.
- Prepare the application and any other required or supplemental documents for your submission. The application is a fillable Adobe form, so check and make sure you have the latest version of the free Adobe reader on your computer. Please download the application to your computer, fill it out, and save your work. Please do not fill out this application out in your browser.
- Complete the online submission form below to submit your application materials before the deadline. Make sure you have all materials ready to submit - you will not be able to save as you go. Submission form is below.
Dates
Capital Improvement applications are due by 5:00pm on March 12, 2021.
Important notice for this year’s CDBG application cycle: Non-profits may apply for one CDBG Capital Improvement project and one CDBG Public Service / Planning project (when the Public Service / Planning application is released). Otherwise, there is a limit of one funding application per agency.
A CDBG Capital Improvement application workshop will be held on Wednesday, January 27. Like last year, the workshop will be held jointly with the Cook County’s Department of Transportation and Highways’ Invest in Cook program. The Invest in Cook presentation will begin at 1:00pm, followed by the CDBG presentation at 2:00pm. The workshop will be recorded and made available after the session. Click here to RSVP.
