All stray animals that are found by Cook County Animal and Rabies Control are taken to one of the following shelters in Cook County:

Once at the facility, animals are held for seven days if they are identified by rabies tag, personal tag, hospital tag or micro-chip. Unidentified animals will be held for a minimum of three days before they are eligible for adoption or fostering.

Male dog found outside the gates at St. Mary Cemetery on 87th and Lawndale with no collar or tags. Possibly hit by a car. Transported to Chicago Animal Control at 2741 S Western Ave in Chicago.
