Cook County Sun and Save

Partner Organization Grant Application

The information below is for agencies interested in applying to assist with administering the Cook County Sun and Save Residential Renewable Energy Subsidy Program.

This page is not intended for residents seeking to participate in the program. Information regarding resident eligibility will be released in spring 2023.

Overview

The Department of Environment and Sustainability (DES) is accepting grant applications for a program administrator partner who can fulfill the required scope of services to support the Cook County Sun and Save Residential Renewable Energy Subsidy Program.

The program administration partner will coordinate the following functions related to the program including program design, outreach, participant recruitment, eligibility verification, solar assessments, solar installations and the required data collection elements therein.

All proposals will be evaluated through a competitive process. Each eligible applicant will be evaluated on the strengths of their application, responsiveness to the selection criteria and as part of the larger goals of the Cook County Sun and Save Residential Renewable Energy Subsidy Program. 

All submissions must be submitted by Friday, September 30, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. CDT. All applications must be submitted electronically.

How to Apply

To apply for the Cook County Sun and Save Residential Renewable Energy Subsidy Program, applicants must complete:

1. Program Administrator Application (click to download fillable Word doc). Applicants should provide their narrative responses directly in the provided Word document.  

2. Budget Template (click to download fillable .xls file)

3. Once all materials above are complete, submit application by emailing environment@cookcountyil.gov before Friday, September 30, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. CDT. Completed applications may be submitted as Word documents or PDFs.
