Cook County to Host Second Annual Government Job Fair on May 27
Job Fair Open to Residents Seeking Careers in Public Service Across Multiple Fields and Experience Levels
(COOK COUNTY, IL) – The Cook County Government Bureau of Human Resources will host its second annual Cook County Job Fair on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Palmer House Hilton in downtown Chicago.
The Cook County Job Fair is open to all job seekers interested in careers in public service and will feature opportunities across a wide range of fields including administration, finance, healthcare, public safety, transportation, operations and more. The event is designed to connect residents with career opportunities throughout Cook County government while helping departments build a strong and diverse workforce.
“Cook County’s workforce is made stronger when it reflects the talent, experience and diversity of the residents we serve,” said Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle. “As we host our second annual job fair, we remain committed to creating pathways into public service and connecting residents to meaningful careers that strengthen communities across Cook County.”
Representatives from multiple County bureaus and departments will be on hand to discuss current and future employment opportunities. Participating agencies are expected to include Cook County Health, the Sheriff’s Office, the State’s Attorney's Office, the Office of the Public Defender, the Assessor’s Office, the Circuit Court of Cook County, the Forest Preserves of Cook County and additional County departments, including the Bureau of Technology and Department of Transportation and Highways, among others.
Attendees will have access to free professional headshots and career resources and networking opportunities from 40+ County departments and offices. Job seekers are encouraged to bring copies of their resume, dress professionally and be prepared to engage with hiring representatives during the event.
The job fair will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 27 at the Palmer House Hilton, 124 S. Wabash Avenue, Chicago, Illinois, 60603.
