Cook County Hosts Preparedness Fair at Daley Plaza to Mark National Preparedness Month

WHAT: Cook County’s Department of Emergency Management and Regional Security (EMRS) is hosting a preparedness fair at Dailey Plaza in conjunction with National Preparedness Month to ensure residents have the information they need to stay safe in an emergency. The Preparedness Fair will feature interactive demonstrations and hands-on activities, including an emergency alerts game, “go-bag” education and raffles, seatbelt safety demonstrations, Cook County Sheriff’s comfort dog and emergency command units open for public viewing. Attendees can also connect with state, County and local partners, learn about voting resources, and receive preparedness giveaways including flashlights, first-aid kits and other emergency supplies.
