Parentage and Child Support Court moves to Daley Center

Circuit Court of Cook County Chief Judge Timothy C. Evans announced that the Parentage and Child Support Court (formerly called Expedited Child Support Program) will move from 32 W. Randolph Street in Chicago to the Richard J. Daley Center, 50 West Washington Street, Chicago, Room 24, on the concourse level. The move is effective on February 15, 2011. The Parentage and Child Support Court administers the expedited hearing process which seeks to ensure all children receive prompt and regular child support payments. The Daley Center provides a more secure environment for these types of cases in which emotions can run high, said Chief Judge Evans. In addition to greater security, other improvements in the Daley Center location include the addition of interview rooms in which litigants may confer with their attorneys and ADA compliant restrooms, including a unisex facility that allows opposite sex family members to provide assistance when necessary. Child care services for persons attending court will be available in the Daley Center in the Rhoda Bresler Children's Room located in Room 1309 and across the street at the Mediation Center Children’s Room located on the 10th floor of the George W. Dunne Cook County Administration Building, 69 West Washington.
