Two virtual sessions, October 13 and October 19, will brief residents on the County's financial outlook, what is driving the gap and what it means for County services

CHICAGO— Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle today announced a series of budget briefings, giving residents a direct look at the County's financial picture as it prepares its Fiscal Year 2027 budget. The two virtual sessions are open to residents, small business owners, civic and community partners, municipal leaders and anyone who wants to understand the budget process and choices before the County.

The briefings will cover Cook County's current financial outlook, the main factors driving the budget gap, how the County is addressing these challenges and what it means for County services and programs.
