Pay your Citation Online, In Person, or by Mail

Online Payments

You may pay your citation online HERE rather than attending a hearing ONLY if your payment is timely submitted PRIOR to your scheduled hearing date. If a “Findings, Decision, and Order” (Judgment) has been previously entered for your citation you MUST pay the FULL AMOUNT of the Judgment including any additional fees and/or court costs as stated in the judgment, NOT the fine amount on the citation.    

You will need your citation number to make a payment. Your citation number will be two letters followed by eight numbers (ex. AC12345678) and can be found on your citation. Once you've processed your payment through LexisNexis, you will then need to email your payment confirmation number and a copy of your citation (if paying prior to your hearing date) or Findings, Decisions, and Orders (if paying after your hearing date) to cc.dor@cookcountyil.gov.

Payments by Mail


ONLY Check and Money Order are accepted for mail-in payments. Payments by mail can be made for all types of administrative citations and judgments, with the EXCEPTION of Revenue Collection/Use Tax (RC/RT). Payments can be mailed to:

In-Person Payments


Check, Money Order, and Cash are accepted for in-person payments. Respondents can pay in-person for all types of administrative citations and judgments, with the EXCEPTION of Revenue Collection/Use Tax (RC). In-person payments can be made at:
