Quentin Road
Quentin Road Phase I Study
Dundee Road to Lake Cook Road
Cook County Department of Transportation and Highways (DoTH) is conducting a Phase I study to evaluate potential improvements to Quentin Road and the existing bridge within the project limits.
Where We Are Now – Project Status
The preferred alternative for the Quentin Road improvement was presented at Public Hearing #4 on Nov. 6, 2025. Community members provided comments at the hearing and during the official comment period, which closed Dec. 12, 2025. A summary of the public input and common questions and themes can be found in the documents below. Individual responses to comments will be provided directly to commenters.
Where We Are Going – Next Steps
DoTH is currently refining the preferred alternative based on public feedback. The Department continues to coordinate with the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), resource agencies and the Forest Preserve District to ensure federal requirements are met. Collaboration remains central to the process. Design approval for the Phase I study is anticipated in winter 2027.
