Charitable Giving - Cook County Gives

2023 Cook County Gives Campaign
October 11, 2022 – October 31, 2022
Cook County’s annual giving campaign is an opportunity for employees to come together and give back to organizations that support our communities. This year, Cook County is featuring two of its charitable foundations:
Cook County Forest Preserve Foundation
This foundation supports ecological restoration projects in the Preserves and opportunities for families and children from diverse of backgrounds to enjoy the Forest Preserves. The foundation also supports summer internships for young people from low-income families and career programs that cultivate the next generation of environmental advocates.
This foundation supports making quality and responsive health care accessible to all. Cook County Health’s clinics and hospitals are the leading provider of health care services for everyone regardless of their ability to pay. Cook County Health cares for more than 300,000 patients each year, and 75% are from communities of color.
Cook County’s workforce of more than 20,000 employees can make a much greater impact when we work together than any one person can achieve. That’s why Cook County partners with United Way of Metro Chicago to organize Cook County Gives. United Way convenes more than 700 workplace campaigns, more than 3,000 volunteers and more than 100 nonprofit agencies to build stronger and more equitable neighborhoods. Employees may support the featured Cook County foundations, United Way of Metro Chicago or any 501c(3) nonprofit of their choosing through this campaign.
