Cook County Board Approves Funding to Improve Transportation Throughout Cook County
The Cook County Board of Commissioners approved planning, design and construction contracts today to continue the pipeline of transportation-related projects for the County’s Department of Transportation and Highways (DoTH). These vital projects advance multi-modal projects throughout Cook County to improve state of good repair, operations, safety and support the regional economy.
Barrypoint Road Bridge | $1,511,825
Preliminary engineering and environmental (Phase I) study for the replacement of the Barrypoint Road Bridge over the Des Plaines River.
Bedford Park | $250,000
Construction for sidewalk along the west side of Archer Road, extending from 71st Street to Roberts Road.
Countywide | $10,000,000
Preliminary engineering services across Cook County advancing plans and studies for, including but not limited to, intersections, safety and multi-use paths; performing traffic, crash, structural or other supporting analyses as needed.
Southern Cook County | $11,455,333.11
Pavement resurfacing in seven corridors across southern Cook County.
