Cook County Board Approves Funding to Improve Transportation Throughout Cook County
The Cook County Board of Commissioners approved planning, design and construction contracts today to continue the pipeline of transportation-related projects for the County’s Department of Transportation and Highways (DoTH). These vital projects advance multi-modal projects throughout Cook County to improve state of good repair, operations, safety and support the regional economy.
Forest Preserve District | $217,900
Design engineering services to address a 1.5-mile gap in the Salt Creek Trail system between Parkview Road and Millbridge Road.
North Cook County | $19,547,808
Pavement rehabilitation of seven corridors in north Cook County: Freeman Road, Gifford Road, Mount Prospect Road, Oakton Street, Old Sutton Road, Quentin Road and Wilke Road. Improvements include patching and resurfacing roadways, curb and gutter replacements, construction of sidewalk ramps and drainage repairs.
