President Preckwinkle Announces Small Business Financing Initiative

President Preckwinkle toured Motorola Solutions in Schaumburg, Illinois with Motorola Solutions CEO Greg Brown on Tuesday, June 12, 2012. The purpose of the visit was to give President Preckwinkle a tour of the Motorola Solutions campus, and let her know about their technology leadership, having been located in Cook County since 1928. This is the first time Motorola Solutions has ever had a visit from a County Board President. President Preckwinkle was joined by Herman Brewer, Bureau Chief, Bureau of Economic Development. The tour included a round table discussion with Motorola Solutions CEO Greg Brown and his chief executives. From there, the group visited Motorola Solutions Innovation Center. As the morning progressed, the group went to the actual area where the communications systems are assembled. Along the way, discussions occurred on the vital role Motorola Solutions has in using communications and technology for public safety, including Cook County. Since 1928, Motorola Solutions, Inc.
