Cook County Department of Veterans Affairs (CCVA) proudly hosts military community resource fairs across Cook County by bringing essential military and veteran services together under one roof. These free events connect veterans, service members and their families with local, state and federal resources, including healthcare, education, employment and financial assistance programs.

By partnering with agencies and service providers throughout the region, our resource fairs make it easier for the military community to access the support and benefits they deserve.

Past Events 

CCVA hosted the 2025 Veterans Resource Fair at the Brookfield Zoo in October. This free event was dedicated to connecting veterans, service members and their families with the resources, benefits and support available throughout Cook County. 

Veterans Resource Fair FY25

Representatives from local, state and federal organizations were on-site to provide information on healthcare, disability benefits, education, employment and financial assistance programs. 

The event offered an opportunity for the veteran community to network, learn and explore valuable services, all while enjoying a day at the zoo.
