Why it matters
Cook County is home to the fifth-largest veteran population in the nation, and veterans, service members and their families frequently need timely access to resources related to housing, legal support, wellness and benefits assistance.

The Cook County Veteran Resources and Supportive Services Interactive Map creates a centralized, user-friendly platform to help veterans, service members and their families locate trusted services quickly and easily, from any device.

This approach also strengthens County operations by enabling real-time updates, identifying geographic service gaps and supporting strategic planning and resource allocation.

How it works
CCVA, in partnership with the Cook County Bureau of Technology’s (BoT) Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Team, maintains lists of standardized, validated information that seamlessly integrate with GIS tools to produce dynamic, interactive maps for public use.
