Service Information

The Cook County Department of Animal and Rabies Control has four animal control service vehicles available for donation to suburban Cook County municipalities. Please see below for vehicle descriptions and photos. To be considered, municipalities must submit an online application no later than Friday, June 27, 2025, by 11:59 p.m. CDT. 

Interested government entities are invited to attend an in-person open house to view heavy equipment available for donation. The two open house dates are:

  • Wednesday, June 4, 2025, from 9 - 11 a.m.
  • Thursday, June 5, 2025, 12 - 2 p.m.

Please RSVP by email by 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, if you wish to attend a viewing so we can ensure adequate staffing onsite: donate@cookcountyil.gov. 

Both open houses will be in the parking lot at the Bridgeview Courthouse, 10220 S. 76th Ave., Bridgeview, IL 60455.

Additional times/dates to view items are not available and access will not be granted outside of the times/dates listed above.

How to Apply
To be considered, municipalities must submit an online application no later than Friday, June 27, 2025, by 11:59 p.m. CDT.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Applicants must be a suburban Cook County municipality. 
  • The equipment must be used within suburban Cook County for the purposes stated in Cook County Code § 10-1. 
  • Applicants must explain the operational need.
  • Applicants must submit a completed application by Friday, June 27, 2025, by 11:59 p.m. CDT. 

Applications close Friday, June 27 at 11:59 p.m. CT.

Please note: heavy equipment is donated in "as-is" condition without warranty. Municipalities selected to receive the vehicles are solely responsible for their removal within 30 days of notification of the award.
