Proposed Business Case: Light Industrial Model

4150 N. Knox

The 4150 N. Knox site is a newly constructed 40,700 sq. foot industrial building on Chicago’s Northwest Side. The building has an open roof with no shading and is ideal for solar.

This proposed model provides for a host-owned system, with the property owner taking a 20 percent share for common area load and offering a 20 percent share to the building tenant and other commercial or industrial subscribers. The system is anticipated to produce 352,000 KWh annually with an 38 percent return on investment for the site owner.
