Cook County Department of Planning and Development Solicits 2019 Community Development Grant Applications

The grant application process for Cook County’s 2019 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG) programs is now underway.

Each year, the Department of Planning and Development (DPD) solicits grant applications for Cook County's CDBG and ESG Programs through a competitive application process.

Cook County uses its CDBG and ESG funding primarily to support capital improvement projects (e.g., roads, sewers, facilities) and social services in suburban Cook County. The main objective of the CDBG and ESG programs is to develop viable communities and expand economic opportunities, principally for persons of low and moderate income. These programs are funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Applications are due by 4:00pm on Friday, March 29, 2019.
