Cook County Tourism Alive was a $10 million program supporting the tourism and hospitality industry in suburban Cook County.

Investments in the program went toward:

  • Supporting the five suburban convention and visitor bureaus (CVBs) in Cook County
  • Developing Outside Chicago, an initiative promoting outdoor activities in suburban Cook County
  • Developing a campaign called This is Your Wake Up Call, which provides awareness for career opportunities in tourism and hospitality through hiring events and other efforts
  • Participating in a regional tourism initiative called Visit Chicagoland
