Economic Revitalization through Brownfields Workshop

Maggie Weiser from KSU/TAB talks about the Steps for Successful Redevelopment and TAB Resources for Brownfields. 

On November 2nd, Cook County, Chicago Southland Economic Development Corporation, South Suburban Mayors and Managers Association, the US Environmental Protection Agency and Kansas State University/Technical Assistance to Brownfields (TAB) co-hosted the Economic Revitalization through Brownfields: Strategies and Free Resources workshop.  Over 40 people attended to learn about the resources available for a successful redevelopment of brownfield sites. Presentations were given by representatives from TAB, Cook County Transportation & Highways and Planning & Development and the US and Illinois EPAs.  The Village of Franklin Park and SSMMA discussed success stories from their recent redevelopment programs.
