Cook County Veterans Affairs Mission and Vision

Mission ​​

The Cook County Department of Veterans Affairs (CCVA) connects veterans, military families and current service members to a robust network of resources throughout the County. We advocate for the health, stability and success of the military community while fostering an inclusive and empowered community. In collaboration with partners and policymakers, CCVA actively supports and promotes legislation and funding initiatives that advance the interests of all Cook County veterans, service members and their families.​

CCVA envisions a County where every military family has equitable access to the resources, opportunities and recognition they deserve. We strive to lead with purpose and serve as a model of innovation, collaboration and advocacy where legislative impact and sustainable funding help drive lasting change in the lives of those who have served or are currently serving. CCVA's vision is a resilient and united Cook County where the military community is empowered, supported and celebrated.
