Important Update Regarding Guardian Dental ID Cards

Due to a system error, incorrect dental ID cards were mailed to County employees on June 26 and, in some cases, contained inaccurate dependent information. Please disregard the recent card that you received. Your previously issued card is accurate.

Guardian has confirmed that your coverage information is accurate in their system and only those dependents properly enrolled with Guardian will be reflected in claim processing, regardless of how they may appear on the recent ID cards issued.

Guardian will update this message when the corrected images of the ID cards are available on their self-service portal, Guardian Anytime. We apologize for any confusion this has caused. If you have any questions, please call Guardian’s service center at 866-302-4542.

Dental coverage is provided at no charge. The dental plans offer two dental exams and cleanings per year. You have a choice of two plans:

  • Guardian Dental/First Commonwealth/ HMO

Provides access to services performed at participating dental HMO practices.

  • Guardian/First Commonwealth PPO

Allows you to seek dental care from dentists who either are in or out of the PPO network.

In-network services are usually covered at a higher benefit level.
